Kristen Foxen's latest WSOP win puts her in a league of her own

Foxen is the first female player to win four WSOP gold bracelets

Kristen Foxen made poker history this week by becoming the first female player to win four World Series of Poker gold bracelets. The Canadian pro outlasted the 492-player field to win the 2023 WSOP Online $888 buy-in No-Limit Hold ’em ‘Crazy 8’s’ event to set the record and the top prize of $92,142.

Foxen’s most recent WSOP win was in the New Jersey and Nevada network under the screen name ‘krissyb24′. With over $7.1 million in career tournament earnings, Foxen is now the second-highest-earning female player in history behind only Vanessa Selbst, who has $10,899,027 in career winnings. The win ties Foxen with Selbst for the most WSOP bracelets won in open events, with three apiece.

Foxen also took down another limited-field tournament at the series, winning the 2013 WSOP ladies’ No-Limit Hold ’em championship. Of 954 participants in the $1,000 buy-in event, she won her first bracelet and $173,922.

Foxen then won a $1,500 No-Limit Hold’ Em bounty event for $290,768 and her second WSOP title in 2016. She won her third bracelet online in the inaugural WSOP Online in 2020, beating the 892-player field in the GGPoker $2,500 No-Limit Hold ’em six-max tournament for $356,412.

Nothing has yet been posted by the WSOP with full real-name results for the event that built a $393,600 prize pool on Sunday, September 17. However, Card Player has identified many pros who had deep runs, including Jeff Platt (22nd), 2013 WSOP Main Event champion Ryan Riess (20th), Shannon Shorr (19th), Mike Holtz (18th), Guy Dunlap (15th), two-time gold bracelet winner Drew O’Connell (10th), Landon Tice (9th), Ian Steinman (7th), WSOP Circuit ring eight-time champion Matt Stout (6th), Dylan Destefano (3rd), and John Ripnick (2nd).
