Joshua Reichard now tied with Maurice Hawkins in WSOP Circuit wins

The competition to rule the WSOP Circuit leaderboard continues to heat up

Joshua Reichard is now tied for second in World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) all-time wins with Maurice Hawkins after picking up his 15th WSOPC ring in a $400 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em tournament on Saturday, November 18 at the WSOPC Grand Victoria Casino event in Elgin, Illinois. The 32-year-old Janesville, Wisconsin native is now one win away from equaling 16-time winner Ari Engel.

“All of these guys are great,” said Reichard when speaking with about his rivals near the top of the WSOPC rings standings. “They play a lot, winning at a high rate. The number is gonna be big. It would not surprise me if the number is 20 rings by the end of next year. And I don’t expect myself to be there; if I am, that would be great, but it’ll be tough.”

Reichard took his first WSOPC ring in 2013 and continued to win at least one per year through 2019. He won his next in 2022 after taking a main event championship in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He also won in the main event at an earlier Grand Victoria Casino tournament this year, taking home $253,073 as the winner.

He outlasted a field of 271 players to take his second ring of 2023, earning the biggest share of the $89,430 prize pool that was split among the top 41 players.

Heads-up play saw Reichard come out ahead against Kathy Pink, who would earn $12,228 for second place. Reichard would take home $19,786 for first place, along with the bracelet and 173 Card Player Player of the Year points. He has three titles and eight final-table finishes in 2023 and is now in 56th place in the Global Poker 2023 POY standings.
