Hrabec now has Triton, WSOP and a Super High Roller Series title for the year
Roman Hrabec, a 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion, continues to solidify his reputation as a formidable force in the high-stakes poker world. Fresh off his WSOP victory, where he secured his first bracelet and a prize of $100,228, Hrabec is showing no signs of slowing down and Cyprus was witness to that.
The latest stop in his run came at the Super High Roller Series in North Cyprus, hosted at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel and Spa. This event, a collaboration between PokerGO and the Onyx Club, features some of the highest buy-ins and strongest competition in the poker world. Hrabec wasted no time making his mark, winning Event #1: $25,750 No-Limit Hold ’em 8-Max and taking home $316,000.
Hrabec’s victory in North Cyprus is just the latest in a series of impressive accomplishments this year. Earlier, he claimed the Triton Poker Jeju $100,000 Main Event, earning a career-high $4.3 million. His recent string of successes has put him firmly in the spotlight as one of the most in-form players on the circuit.
In the North Cyprus event, Hrabec outlasted a field of almost 40 players, including seasoned high-rollers like Sam Greenwood, who finished fifth, and Leonard Maue, who took fourth place. The final table also featured Kayhan Mokri and Santhosh Suvarna, both of whom have been making waves in the poker community.
With the Super High Roller Series still underway, all eyes will be on Hrabec as he continues his journey for more titles and accolades. It would not be at all surprising to see his name in the headlines of the poker scene again before 2024 comes to an end.
