Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen have a special poker game set up during the WPT
Popular poker vloggers Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen have hosted Meet-up Games (MUG) across the globe. They will travel in November to Florida for the World Poker Tour (WPT) bestbet Scramble Festival, running from October 26 to November 14 at the bestbet Jacksonville. The series culminates with the $5,000 buy-in Main Tour event starting November 10.
The MUG will be held one day before the start of the Main event on November 9. “Jacksonville is new stomping grounds for us,” said Owen in a press release. “We’re hoping to see some fresh faces at the MUG as well as followers traveling in for the festival. Should be a great warmup for the WPT bestbet Scramble Championship event.”
The MUG games are known for their more laid-back atmosphere than regular cash games. WPT ambassadors Neeme and Owen will also sit down at different tables during the tournament to allow players to play against them in a few pots.
Co-owners of The Lodge Poker Club in Texas, the pros have hosted MUGs for several years after starting at casinos in their hometown of Las Vegas and recently expanded throughout the United States and internationally.
“Florida has always been among the top of my list of states with the best poker action,” said Neeme in the press release. This will be my first experience in the North Florida poker scene. I have no doubt they’re going to welcome us with open arms and a lack of folding. Thanks to bestbet Jacksonville for accommodating and streaming our friendly cash-game get-together.”
The Jacksonville MUG $3/$5 No-Limit Hold’em cash game ($300 to $1,500) has 20 tables, with play starting at 2 PM local time at bestbet Jacksonville and will stream live on the poker room’s YouTube Channel.
