The events will run as the WSOP continues to find winners
The Charity Series of Poker returns to a familiar venue in Las Vegas during the 2024 World Series of Poker as it prepares to host the “1st Annual Rhino Rumble Championship” from the Stirling Club. The event kicks off on July 3, with proceeds donated to the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation, an organization committed to saving the nearly extinct Black Rhino.
In addition to the silent auction starting at 5:30 PM, guests can enjoy hors d’oeuvres during a cocktail hour before the charity poker tournament begins at 7:00 PM. The winner of the $300 buy-in turbo event wins a top prize of $5,000, with more than $9,000 donated to the charitable cause. Entrants will have unlimited $100 re-buys (10,000 chips) and add-ons (20,000 chips) until registration ends.
Guests can pay $100 to attend the silent auction and dinner without entering the tournament. For this particular event, the attire will be Safari Chic.
The Charity Series of Poker is a nonprofit organization founded in 2014 by poker professional Matt Stout. The company promotes and arranges charity poker tournaments and other events to help support charities and worthy causes. The Stirling Club stop will be the 67th event of the ongoing series.
Additional information from the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation about the upcoming event was provided on the CSOP website. It reads, “Nestled upon 2500 acres of unspoiled South African wilderness, our sanctuary is not only home to Munu, our critically endangered blind rhino, but it serves as the only dedicated black rhino sanctuary of its kind. As the poaching crisis intensifies, we’re expanding to an orphanage, rescue & rehabilitation center, & research hub for endangered wildlife. All proceeds from this event will go towards urgently upgrading the anti-poaching unit and ranger infrastructure on the property.”
