Cards For Kindness Poker Tournament offers chance at WSOP Main Event seat

The online poker tournament gives players a chance at a prized spot in the WSOP

An upcoming charity poker event that aims to raise funds for youth gives poker players an opportunity to compete for an entry to the $10,000 buy-in World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event in Las Vegas. The Cards For Kindness Poker Tournament will begin on November 2 at 7:00 PM and will benefit the nonprofit Riley’s Way Foundation. The organization aims to “empower a youth-led movement, providing young people with the programs, support, and inclusive community they need to thrive as changemakers.”

The Riley’s Way Foundation was established by poker player Ian Sandler following his 9-year-old daughter’s death. The Cards For Kindness Poker Tournament, which backs the mission of the nonprofit organization, lets poker players give back by raising funds for a charitable institution and gives them a chance to raise money for a good cause while playing for an assortment of prizes.

Besides the winner earning a seat at the WSOP Main Event, other rewards up for grabs are a three-night vacation to an exclusive resort, tickets to various MLB games and two tickets to see Hamilton on Broadway in New York City. There are also two VIP tickets to attend the Mariah Carey concert on December 17 at Madison Square Garden in the Big Apple.

The virtual poker tournament will be held on Zoom, and the $250 buy-in event provides several add-ons and rebuy chances. Entrants will begin play with 7,500 chips and can add on and double their stack to 15,000. More information about the Cards for Kindness Poker Tournament can be found online at
