Bellagio poker tournament series puts $800,000 on the table

Poker players have plenty of excuses to take a trip to the Vegas casino

Bellagio Las Vegas is preparing again to host a huge tournament poker festival. The 2023 Bellagio Kickoff Classic will run from August 31 to September 10, featuring 12 events and more than $800,000 in guaranteed prize money.

The event’s highlight is the $3,500 buy-in $500,000 guaranteed Bellagio Classic No-Limit Hold ’em Main Event from September 7-10. The tournament will have two starting flights starting at noon on Thursday, September 7, and Friday, September 8.

Players begin with a stack of 50,000 chips, and each level lasts one hour. They can register or re-buy until the start of the tenth level during the first two days. Anyone with chips left at the end of Day 1A or Day 1B will combine into a single group for Day 2, which will begin at noon on Saturday, September 9. The final table will be played on Sunday, September 10.

Besides the Main Event, several lower buy-in No-Limit Hold’Em tournaments are scheduled, including two $600 buy-in $30,000 guaranteed events on September 1 and 2, a $400 buy-in $20,000 guaranteed turbo on September 3, and a $600 buy-in $25,000 guaranteed event on September 10. A $600 buy-in Seniors event also kicks off at 10:00 AM on September 3 for players 50 or older.

Poker players have won over $596 million in tournament prizes since the Bellagio first opened in 1998, putting it in the top three among casinos worldwide. Be sure to head to the heart of the Las Vegas Strip this fall to catch the action at this famous poker destination.
