Police arrested him while he confronted a former business partner he says stole his Lambo
Crypto influencer Ben “BitBoy” Armstrong was reportedly arrested on Monday evening outside the house of a former business partner, Carlos Diaz, while live streaming his attempt to confront him at his home after alleging that Diaz was in possession of his Lamborghini.
Shortly before the YouTube stream went online, BitBoy posted that he was “going live soon from a very special location.” Armstrong began live streaming at the home of the nonfungible token investor and consultant who is said to have ties to the Hit Network.
During the stream, Armstrong went on a rant, claiming that Diaz “wanted to kill him” and alleged that he has connections in the Houston mafia. “I’m not scared of you, Carlos,” he screamed.
About 19 minutes into the livestream, Armstrong was confronted by local police, who asked if he had any weapons, which he denied. Police then ordered him to put down the phone, and the video went dark for the next 17 minutes, with the conversation between Armstong and the police still audible.
The Gwinnett County, Georgia, Sheriff’s Office listed Benjamin Charles Armstrong as being booked on September 25 at 9:11 PM, and he remains in custody. Diaz confirmed in a post on September 26 that Armstrong had come to his house.
Blockchain investigator “ZachXBT,” who’s not a fan of Armstrong, posted on X, “Will always celebrate one of the most notorious bad actors in crypto finally getting karma.”

Hit Network, the company that handles the “BitBoy Crypto” brand, severed ties with its ambassador last month, mentioning substance abuse issues and financial damage incurred by company employees.
A couple of lawsuits were filed and then recanted by various parties involved since then. On September 20, Armstrong also asked for donations to cover his legal costs, outraging the crypto community.
